Titan Partnership is proud to announce an impactful new initiative in collaboration with Vodafone’s Charities.Connected programme. Through this partnership, Titan Partnership will provide young people and families across the city with FREE SIM cards for up to six months, each loaded with 40GB of monthly data, unlimited texts, and unlimited calls to help combat digital exclusion.
Schools within the Titan Partnership network will be able to request SIM cards to distribute to young people and families who will benefit most from this support. By ensuring access to essential digital resources, this initiative aims to bridge the digital divide and enable equal opportunities for education and personal development.
Recent statistics highlight the urgent need for such interventions, with 46% of children in Birmingham living in poverty. Digital access is no longer a luxury but a necessity, particularly for education, job searching, and accessing vital services. This initiative will help ensure that financial hardship does not prevent young people from engaging in learning and future opportunities.
Jas Rohel, CEO of Titan Partnership, said:
“With child poverty at an all-time high in Birmingham, tech poverty has become a major barrier to learning. We are taking an important step in providing digital access to those who need it most. Education is a right, not a privilege, and ensuring that every young person has the opportunity to connect, learn, and thrive is at the heart of our mission.”
Beyond connectivity, Titan Partnership is also calling on the community to support young learners by donating old laptops that can be refurbished and redistributed to those in need. If you or your organisation can help, please contact sean.bates@titan.org.uk.
Together, we can ensure that no child is left behind due to digital poverty.
