Empowering Futures: Academy of Real Assets Launches in the West Midlands

Titan Partnership had the privilege of attending the regional launch of the Academy of Real Assets, hosted by Eversheds Sutherland, with the West Midlands Mayor Richard Parker as a special guest.

The Academy of Real Assets offers students valuable insights and experience in real estate and related fields, providing a pathway into these industries. Gurjit Atwal, Head of Real Estate and Social Mobility Partner at Eversheds Sutherland, kicked off the event with inspiring remarks on the power of social mobility, emphasising the importance of engaging with local schools to open doors for young people.

Founder Stephen Yorke shared the Academy’s London success story, expressing his vision for a similar impact in the West Midlands. He highlighted the benefits young talent can bring to organisations and emphasised the need for real estate sector support to make the Academy thrive in the region.

Mayor Richard Parker echoed this, sharing his commitment to youth employment and his vision for regional growth. Richard encouraged businesses and organisations to get involved with The Academy of Real Assets as their goals aligned with his goal of supporting 20,000 young people with work experience opportunities and apprenticeships through his Youth Employment Plan.

Titan Partnership is excited to support the Academy’s mission, especially in connecting with underrepresented young people across our member schools. It was fantastic to see members engaging already, promising a strong start for this important initiative.
