The NHS is looking for schools to host 1-2 student nurses/midwives for a full day in October or November. This exciting pilot programme, ‘Cultural Immersion Practice Learning Experience’ aims to give the students more understanding of cultural traditions, behaviours, practices, lifestyles, and values. In addition, the aim is to help them develop an awareness of the social and economic issues which can play a factor in ill health for the individuals who live and come from the diverse communities in our city.
Further guidance can be provided to any primary or secondary school wishing to host a student.
Schools will receive remuneration for hosting a student to cover basic costs such as lunch.
The dates required are:
October – 3rd and 5th
November – 7th and 8th
For further details of the project and to get involved, please contact kim.newman@titan.org.uk by 19th September.
