Sean Bates, Head of Marketing at Titan Partnership, has successfully completed a 300-mile cycling challenge throughout November to raise funds for young people in some of Birmingham’s most deprived areas. Titan Partnership, a Birmingham-based education charity, witnesses firsthand the increasing need to support young people with essential items and transformative enrichment opportunities that can help raise their aspirations and realise their potential.
Reflecting on his motivation, Sean said: “I chose to take on this challenge after visiting several of our partner schools and learning about the struggles many young people continue to face, such as lacking basic necessities like coats and footwear. Funding cuts have also deprived some of access to libraries, books, and vital enrichment activities. I hope my efforts inspire others to support our mission to make a real difference to the lives of young people across the city.”
As part of its commitment to improving outcomes for young people, Titan Partnership has launched “The Titan Fund.” This funding pot enables schools to request support for their students. In December, the charity will donate £2,500, and funds raised from Sean’s cycling challenge will contribute to the next round of grants in the new year.
Titan Partnership invites organisations and businesses to join as Business Members, providing opportunities to volunteer, sponsor enrichment activities, or deliver programmes that benefit local schools and communities.
